From the Bartender

A mid-century British drink named for Edward VIII. If a Rusty Nail is too sweet for you — and for most people it is — this is the same idea rebuilt with an aromatised wine to carry it. Kina Lillet is long gone; modern Lillet Blanc is sweeter, so keep the Drambuie short.

Loch Lomond

Smoky and spirit-forward, with heather honey and herbal complexity weaving through the Scotch backbone, lifted by a bright citrus top note from the expressed lemon oil. Rich and warming with a dry, bittersweet finish that lingers elegantly.

Rusty Nail
Scotch Whisky

Rusty Nail

Rich and warming, with the smoky, malty depth of Scotch meeting the honeyed sweetness and herbal complexity of Drambuie. A whisper of citrus from the lemon zest lifts the finish and keeps it bright.

Chancellor

Dried figs and dark berry from the port, cereal warmth from the Scotch, and the dry vermouth stopping the whole thing from becoming a dessert.

Sazerac
Rye Whiskey

Sazerac

Bold and spirit-forward with warming rye spice, a ghostly whisper of anise from the absinthe rinse, and the distinctive floral-bitter depth of Peychaud's bitters. A bright snap of lemon oil on the nose ties it all together.
