The ratio of cognac to amaretto can be adjusted to taste - a 2:1 cognac-heavy pour keeps the drink drier and more spirit-forward, while equal parts leans sweeter and more dessert-like.

Ingredients
Cognac35 ml
Amaretto35 ml
Glassware
old fashioned glass
Chilled.
Method

    Fill an old fashioned glass with ice cubes.

    Pour the cognac over the ice.

    Add the amaretto.

    Stir gently for 10–15 seconds to combine and lightly chill.

    Serve immediately.
