Bloody Mary

The key to a great Bloody Mary is the 'rolling' technique - gently pouring between vessels rather than shaking - which integrates the ingredients without over-diluting or aerating the tomato juice, keeping the texture thick and luscious.

Ingredients
Vodka45 ml
Tomato Juice90 ml
Fresh Lemon Juice15 ml
Worcestershire Sauce4 ml
Tabasco Sauce
Celery Salt
Black Pepper
Celery Stalk
Lemon Wedge
Ice Cubes
Glassware
Highball glass
Chilled.
Method

    Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.

    Add vodka, tomato juice, and fresh lemon juice directly into the glass.

    Add Worcestershire sauce, a dash of Tabasco, a pinch of celery salt, and a pinch of black pepper.

    Using a bar spoon, gently roll the drink by pouring back and forth between the glass and a mixing tin once or twice - do not shake or over-stir.

    Taste and adjust seasoning.

    Garnish with a celery stalk and a lemon wedge. Serve immediately.
