From the Bartender

First printed in Patrick Gavin Duffy's Official Mixer's Manual in 1934 with grenadine. The modern raspberry-syrup version is generally credited to Ted Haigh, and it is a clear improvement — grenadine and grapefruit fight, raspberry and grapefruit do not.

Scofflaw
Rye Whiskey

Scofflaw

Spice-forward rye cut with dry vermouth's herbal edge, lemon sharpening the middle and grenadine rounding the landing without tipping into sweet.

The Mariner
Dark Rum

The Mariner

Rich molasses depth from dark rum meets the tart brightness of lime and the sun-warmed bitterness of grapefruit, balanced by a whisper of sweetness. Complex, refreshing, and unmistakably nautical.

Commodore
Rye Whiskey

Commodore

Pomegranate sweetness kept short and dry, lemon doing most of the talking, and rye spice running underneath the whole thing from first sip to last.

Clover Club
Gin

Clover Club

Bright and refreshing with a silky, frothy texture, the Clover Club balances botanical gin against tart lemon and sweet-fruity raspberry. The egg white adds a luxurious mouthfeel that softens the citrus edge into something elegant and floral.
