From the Bartender

A pre-Prohibition American sour that survives in several conflicting versions — some with egg white, some with crème de cacao. This is the clean one. Real pomegranate grenadine is essential; the red sugar syrup sold under the same name will make it taste like a fairground.

New York Sour

Bold and citrus-forward with a warming whiskey backbone, a silky egg white foam, and a dramatic finish of dry, fruity red wine that adds depth and a lingering vinous complexity.

Bacardi Cocktail
White Rum

Bacardi Cocktail

Crisp and dry-leaning despite the pomegranate colour: sharp lime first, a thin ribbon of sweetness through the middle, and clean sugarcane rum on the finish.

Bourbon Renewal
Bourbon Whiskey

Bourbon Renewal

Blackcurrant's dark, slightly tannic fruit sitting on top of lemon and bourbon, the Angostura pulling it back from sweetness at the last moment.
