Combine the blended Scotch, Lillet Blanc and Drambuie in a mixing glass.
Add ice and stir for 25 seconds until well chilled.
Strain into a chilled coupe.
Garnish with an orange slice.
A mid-century British drink named for Edward VIII. If a Rusty Nail is too sweet for you — and for most people it is — this is the same idea rebuilt with an aromatised wine to carry it. Kina Lillet is long gone; modern Lillet Blanc is sweeter, so keep the Drambuie short.
