Combine gin, apple brandy, lemon juice, and grenadine in a cocktail shaker without ice.
Add the egg white and dry shake vigorously for 15 seconds to emulsify.
Add ice and shake hard for a further 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Double-strain through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled cocktail glass.
Serve ungarnished, or optionally finish with a maraschino cherry.
The Pink Lady's canonical recipe calls for applejack or apple brandy alongside gin - cream is a common modern misattribution that muddies both the color and the cocktail's historical identity. The egg white alone provides the signature silky texture; no dairy required.
