Mexican Firing Squad Special

Adapted from a recipe in Charles H Baker's 1939 The Gentleman's Companion, this cocktail was a creation discovered at LA CUCURACHA BAR in Mexico City in 1937.

Ingredients
Patrón Reposado tequila60 ml
Lime juice20 ml
Grenadine/pomegranate syrup12.5 ml
Angostura Aromatic Bitters4 dashes
Ice
Orange slice wheel
Pineapple wedge
Luxardo Maraschino Cherry
Glassware
Highball
Chilled.
Method
  1. 1

    Select and pre-chill a highball glass. Prepare garnish of orange slice wheel, pineapple wedge and Luxardo Maraschino Cherry. Shake all liquid ingredients with ice until well-chilled. Strain into the ice-filled highball glass. Garnish with orange slice, pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry.
