    Select and pre-chill a highball glass. Prepare garnish of orange slice wheel, pineapple wedge and Luxardo Maraschino Cherry. Shake all liquid ingredients with ice until well-chilled. Strain into the ice-filled highball glass. Garnish with orange slice, pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry.

Adapted from a recipe in Charles H Baker's 1939 The Gentleman's Companion, this cocktail was a creation discovered at LA CUCURACHA BAR in Mexico City in 1937. It's a sour served in a highball glass, but it is not a Highball and should not be topped with soda.
