Add calvados, fresh lemon juice, and grenadine to a cocktail shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Double-strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with a lemon wheel.
The Jack Rose is traditionally made with lemon juice, not lime - lemon keeps the drink's signature rosy blush and softer tartness that made it a favourite of writers like John Steinbeck and Ernest Hemingway. Use a real pomegranate grenadine (not corn-syrup red dye) for best colour and flavour.
My Bar Shelf reads your shelf and shows you every cocktail you can make from what you already own, including Jack Rose.
