Jack Rose

The Jack Rose is traditionally made with lemon juice, not lime - lemon keeps the drink's signature rosy blush and softer tartness that made it a favourite of writers like John Steinbeck and Ernest Hemingway.

Ingredients
Calvados45 ml
Fresh lemon juice20 ml
Grenadine15 ml
Lemon wheel
Glassware
Cocktail glass
Chilled.
Method

    Add calvados, fresh lemon juice, and grenadine to a cocktail shaker.

    Fill the shaker with ice.

    Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.

    Double-strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

    Garnish with a lemon wheel.
