Select an Old Fashioned glass and pre-chill it.
Moisten the outer rim of the glass with a lime wedge, then dip into a plate of fine salt to coat.
Fill the glass with fresh ice.
Combine tequila blanco, triple sec, freshly squeezed lemon juice, falernum, agave syrup, and saline solution in a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Strain into the prepared ice-filled glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim and serve immediately.
Using lemon juice in place of lime gives this Margarita a softer, rounder acidity that lets the falernum's spice and ginger notes step forward rather than compete with lime's sharper edge. The three drops of saline solution are a small but meaningful addition - salt amplifies sweetness and rounds out citrus without tasting salty.
