Fill a large wine glass generously with ice cubes.
Pour 75ml of chilled Prosecco over the ice.
Add 50ml of Aperol and stir gently once to combine.
Top with 25ml of chilled soda water.
Garnish with a slice of orange on the rim or floated on top. Serve immediately.
The canonical Aperol Spritz ratio is 3:2:1 - Prosecco, Aperol, soda water - always build Prosecco first to preserve carbonation and avoid muddying the bitter-sweet balance. Aperol's official recommendation is to add Prosecco before Aperol, which keeps the bubbles lively and the color vivid.
