Americano

The Americano is the direct predecessor of the Negroni - legend has it that Count Camillo Negroni simply asked for his Americano with gin instead of soda water.

Ingredients
Campari30 ml
Sweet Red Vermouth30 ml
Soda Water
Ice Cubes
Half Orange Slice
Lemon Zest
Glassware
old fashioned glass
Chilled.
Method
  1. 1

    Fill an old fashioned glass with ice cubes.

    Pour 30ml Campari over the ice.

  3. 3

    Add 30ml sweet red vermouth.

  4. 4

    Top with a splash of soda water and stir gently to combine.

  5. 5

    Garnish with a half orange slice and a lemon zest.
