Add 15 ml triple sec, 45 ml gin, and 30 ml pineapple juice to a cocktail shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Double-strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Serve immediately, ungarnished or with a small pineapple wedge on the rim.
Dialling the triple sec back to 15 ml keeps the orange from overwhelming the pineapple and lets the gin's botanicals stay centre stage - a small tweak that sharpens the balance considerably.
