Fill a mixing glass two-thirds full with ice cubes.
Add 60ml vodka and 15ml dry vermouth.
Stir for 30 seconds until well chilled and properly diluted.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with a cocktail olive on a pick and serve immediately.
Always stir a Vodka Martini - never shake - to achieve silky dilution without the unwanted aeration and ice shards that shaking introduces. For a drier result, simply reduce the vermouth to 5ml or coat the glass with vermouth and discard before straining.
