Add 30ml coffee brandy, 45ml lime vodka, and 30ml dry sherry to a cocktail shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Double-strain through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled cocktail glass.
Serve immediately, ungarnished.
Fino sherry is the preferred choice here - its bone-dry salinity and delicate nuttiness complement the lime vodka without overwhelming the coffee brandy's roasted character; amontillado works as a richer, more oxidized alternative.
