Pre-chill a coupe glass with ice water and set aside.
Add mezcal, aperitivo, Yellow Chartreuse, and freshly squeezed lime juice to a cocktail shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Discard the ice water from the coupe glass.
Fine strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe.
Optionally garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel or a fresh lime wedge on the rim.
Created by bartender Joaquín Simó at Death & Co in New York around 2011, the Naked & Famous is a textbook equal-parts build - a structure borrowed directly from the Last Word - proving that swapping gin for mezcal and green Chartreuse for yellow can yield an entirely new classic in its own right.
My Bar Shelf reads your shelf and shows you every cocktail you can make from what you already own, including Naked & Famous.
