From the Bartender

From Harry Craddock's Savoy Cocktail Book of 1930, where it simply calls for Scotch. Made with a blend it is pleasant; made with a peated Islay malt it becomes one of the very few cocktails that gives smoke something worth arguing with. The sloe gin's fruit is the counterweight — do not cut it.

Commodore
Rye Whiskey

Commodore

Pomegranate sweetness kept short and dry, lemon doing most of the talking, and rye spice running underneath the whole thing from first sip to last.

Blood and Sand
Blended Scotch Whisky

Blood and Sand

Smoke and orchard fruit up front, then a wash of bittersweet cherry, with the orange juice keeping it bright and the vermouth stitching the whole thing together on a soft, faintly medicinal finish.

Millionaire
Aged Jamaican Rum

Millionaire

Stone fruit and dark berry over funky Jamaican rum, with lime cutting a clean line through the middle so the whole thing lands tart rather than jammy.

Rusty Nail
Scotch Whisky

Rusty Nail

Rich and warming, with the smoky, malty depth of Scotch meeting the honeyed sweetness and herbal complexity of Drambuie. A whisper of citrus from the lemon zest lifts the finish and keeps it bright.
