Espresso Old Fashioned

A modern menu staple and the most useful coffee cocktail for anyone who does not want a creamy drink after dinner.

Ingredients
Bourbon Whiskey60 ml
Fresh Espresso, Cooled15 ml
Demerara Syrup7.5 ml
Angostura Bitters
Orange Peel
Glassware
Old-fashioned glass
Chilled.
Method

    Combine the bourbon, espresso and demerara syrup in a mixing glass.

    Add two dashes of Angostura bitters.

    Add ice and stir for 25–30 seconds until well chilled.

  4. 4

    Strain over a large clear ice cube in an old-fashioned glass.

  5. 5

    Express an orange peel over the surface and drop it in.
