Chill a coupe glass.
Combine the gin, yellow Chartreuse, grapefruit juice, lemon juice and simple syrup in a shaker.
Add ice and shake hard for 10–12 seconds.
Fine-strain into the chilled coupe.
Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
A mid-century American classic that survives largely because bartenders needed something to do with the yellow Chartreuse bottle. Gentler and sweeter than its green-Chartreuse cousins like the Last Word or the Final Ward.
