Sherry Cobbler

Blending amontillado and palo cortado sherries gives this cobbler both nutty richness and a dry, complex backbone - a simple split that elevates the drink well beyond a single-sherry version.

Ingredients
Amontillado Sherry45 ml
Palo Cortado Sherry45 ml
Superfine Sugar5 ml
Orange Quarter Wheel
Lemon Quarter Wheel
Fresh Berries
Orange Quarter Wheel
Lemon Quarter Wheel
Crushed Ice
Glassware
Julep cup
Chilled.
Method

    Add the amontillado sherry, palo cortado sherry, and superfine sugar to a cocktail shaker.

    Add 2 quarter-wheel pieces each of fresh orange and lemon.

    Fill the shaker with ice and shake briskly for 8–10 seconds.

    Strain into a julep cup packed with crushed ice.

    Garnish with fresh seasonal berries and a quarter wheel each of orange and lemon.

    Serve with straws.
