Satan's Whiskers

From the Savoy Cocktail Book, 1930, where it appears in two versions: curled with orange curaçao and straight with Grand Marnier.

Ingredients
London Dry Gin15 ml
Dry Vermouth15 ml
Sweet Red Vermouth15 ml
Grand Marnier15 ml
Fresh Orange Juice15 ml
Orange Bitters
Orange Twist
Glassware
Coupe glass
Chilled.
Method

    Chill a coupe glass.

    Combine the gin, dry vermouth, sweet vermouth, Grand Marnier and orange juice in a shaker.

    Add a dash of orange bitters.

  4. 4

    Add ice and shake hard for 10–12 seconds.

  5. 5

    Fine-strain into the chilled coupe and express an orange twist over the top.
