Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
Pour 60ml of gin over the ice.
Add 150ml of cranberry juice and stir briefly to combine.
Add 10ml of grenadine and give one final gentle stir to integrate.
Garnish with a lime wheel or a small cluster of fresh cranberries if desired.
Use a quality London Dry gin here - its assertive botanicals hold up well against the acidity of cranberry juice where a softer gin might get lost. Real pomegranate grenadine rather than a syrupy commercial substitute makes a noticeable difference in both flavor depth and color.
