From the Bartender

Associated with Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The name is not subtle and neither is the drink: at roughly a third alcohol by volume it is one of the strongest cocktails in common circulation. Stir it longer than feels right — the dilution is structural.

Tuxedo
Old Tom Gin

Tuxedo

Spirit-forward and silky-dry, with the botanical sweetness of Old Tom Gin weaving through crisp vermouth, a whisper of anise from absinthe, and a delicate cherry-almond sweetness from maraschino. Bright citrus aromatics from the orange bitters and lemon zest tie the whole experience together with sophistication.

Turf Cocktail

Juniper-forward and bone dry, with herbaceous vermouth and a subtle anise sweetness weaving through earthy bitters. The expressed orange peel lifts the finish with bright citrus oils that cut cleanly through the spirit-forward depth.

Derby
London Dry Gin

Derby

Cold juniper with a stone-fruit sweetness hovering above it and a cool green mint note on the nose — essentially a seasoned gin, and it lives or dies on the gin you pick.

Tuxedo Cocktail

Spirit-forward and bracingly dry, with botanical gin weaving through herbal vermouth while maraschino lends a delicate floral sweetness and absinthe adds a hauntingly aromatic anise note.
