Moscow Mule

The Moscow Mule was invented around 1941 as a marketing collaboration between Smirnoff Vodka and a struggling ginger beer producer - the iconic copper mug wasn't just aesthetic, it kept the drink colder longer and became the cocktail's defining signature.

Ingredients
Vodka45 ml
Ginger Beer120 ml
Fresh Lime Juice10 ml
Lime Slice
Glassware
Mule Cup or rocks glass
Chilled.
Method
  1. 1

    Fill a Mule Cup (or rocks glass) with ice.

  2. 2

    Add 45ml of vodka.

  3. 3

    Add 10ml of fresh lime juice.

  4. 4

    Top with 120ml of ginger beer.

  5. 5

    Gently stir once or twice to combine without losing carbonation.

  6. 6

    Garnish with a lime slice and serve immediately.
