From the Bartender

A pre-Prohibition variation on the Old Fashioned. Maraschino is not sweet cherry — it is dry, nutty and assertive, so 15ml is genuinely the ceiling. Reach for it if you like an Old Fashioned but want something stranger.

Liberal
Rye Whiskey

Liberal

Bitter orange and gentian threading through the rye and vermouth, drier and more savoury than a Manhattan and considerably longer on the finish.

Emerald
Irish Whiskey

Emerald

Green apple and light grain where a rye Manhattan would give you pepper, the vermouth's bitterness much more exposed with no spice to hide behind.

Espresso Old Fashioned
Bourbon Whiskey

Espresso Old Fashioned

Oak, vanilla and char from the bourbon with the espresso sitting directly on top of the barrel notes, so it drinks darker and drier than an Old Fashioned rather than sweeter.

Hunter
Bourbon whiskey

Hunter

Rich and warming, with bold bourbon at the fore and waves of dark cherry sweetness deepened by maraschino's almond-kissed nuttiness. A bright citrus oil finish from expressed orange zest lifts the whole glass and keeps it from feeling heavy.
