Add rye whiskey, Calvados, and Yellow Chartreuse into a mixing glass.
Fill with ice and stir for approximately 30 seconds until well chilled and diluted.
Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass.
Garnish with a skewered Luxardo Maraschino cherry.
The Diamondback dates to the Hotel Rennert in Baltimore, appearing in print as early as the 1930s. Yellow Chartreuse is preferred here over Green for its softer, more honeyed herbal character, which keeps the drink balanced rather than medicinal.
