Account & Data Deletion
My Bar Shelf is published by Nisshagen Advisory AB. You can delete your My Bar Shelf account and associated data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your data afterward.
1. Delete your account from within the app
- Open My Bar Shelf on your device.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm the action when prompted.
Your account and the data described below will be deleted immediately.
2. Request deletion if you no longer have the app
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access account settings, email support@mybarshelf.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We will process the request within 30 days and email you to confirm completion.
3. Data that is deleted
- Account information (email address, user ID, profile name)
- Bar inventory (bottles you have added)
- Check-in history (cocktails you have logged)
- Taste profile and preferences
- Photos uploaded from the app
- App activity and search history
- Any user-submitted recipes pending review
4. Data that may be retained, and for how long
- Anonymised, aggregated usage data used to improve the service — retained indefinitely; cannot be linked back to you.
- Purchase and subscription records for tax, accounting, and refund-handling obligations under Swedish and EU law — retained for up to 7 years as required by the Swedish Bookkeeping Act (Bokföringslagen).
- Crash and diagnostic logs containing no personal identifiers — retained up to 90 days, then automatically purged.
- Records required to demonstrate compliance with a legal request — retained as long as legally required.
